Cartoon wedding invitations are a fun twist on traditional formal wedding invitations. Let’s face it, no matter how much money people spend on their wedding invitations, very rarely do you receive one that truly captures your attention. They all kind of look the same despite any effort to make them unique. This isn’t the case with cartoon wedding invitations. Each wedding invitation is totally unique to the individual couple. These invitations are often creative and individual expressions of the couple’s personality. You can provide all the detailed information a wedding invitation requires but the clever presentation will catch the eye of everyone!

Your cartoon wedding invitations can include your favorite cartoon or comic book characters, perhaps dressed in full wedding apparel to represent you and your significant other. Another idea is to set it up like a newspaper comic, a four panel cartoon, informing people of your wedding date. You may also decide to have an illustrator create caricatures of the two of you for the enjoyment of friends and family. The caricature portrait could display the two of you in funny situations or poses. An exaggerated caricature portrait may be something that wedding guests would likely keep in a scrapbook to remember the event and laugh at your colorful and clever wedding invitation. You may even want to frame you caricature portrait to preserve what should be a life-long memory.

You have several different routes in the creation of your cartoon wedding invitations. You may find a known caricature artist in your region or find some graphic designers capable of completing the job. The illustrators at Discount Wedding Invitations, an online source for wedding invitations, keep their cartoon wedding invitations realistic and true to your original photograph reference. Simply send your photo reference in a JPEG format or forward a link to a particular photo you have posted online. The illustrators are capable of capturing any pose in any situation imaginable. You can select from situations and poses listed at the site or set your very own requirements. It is important to describe in specific detail exactly what you’re looking for. A $50 deposit is required and the design team emails your first set of proofs within 2-3 business days. The final product isn’t shipped until you give absolute clearance of the proof, ensuring that you are satisfied with the job. You pay your remaining balance and within five days a set of cartoon wedding invitations are in your possession to be distributed to your guests.

The best looking invitations are usually the invitations designed for weddings. There are so many different options to choose from when designing wedding invitations and the right card making company can give you the design of your dreams. In a lot of cases if you have a good idea of what you want your wedding invitations to feel and look like you may be able to produce them yourself. Even if you know exactly how you want everything to be placed for the overall look, it may still be a bit overwhelming to try to achieve it. There are several different ways to go about your card making endeavors but the best thing you can do at the start is get your dream design sketched out on paper.

Once you have your design sketched out, you are less likely to stray from your intended wedding invitations design which could end up costing you more money. Next thing to do is research. There are several different types of paper your wedding invitations can be made on and the type of paper you use affects how the invitation is folded if it is folded at all. The types of folds can affect the look of your invitation and all of the little thoughtful touches do come with a price, even the folds. If you are not planning to hire a card making company, it is completely possible to create beautiful invitation at home following the same initial steps.

Designing the perfect wedding invitations at home is not difficult; it all depends on what your idea of ‘perfect’ is. Only purchase a little extra than what you need and thoroughly research different ways to get the design that you want. There are several steps in the card making process and they are different for each design that you want. If you want your invitation to feature calligraphy, there are computerized calligraphy options available. If you want to add certain embellishments or features, shop around and try not to buy components of your invitations separately. You should shop for everything on your list that you need to achieve your sketched design at once so you can see your total cost. This way you are less likely to order things you don’t need for your invitations.

Research the proper wording for your invitation as well as there actually is etiquette that wedding invitations are supposed to follow.

When it comes to wording your beach wedding invitations you want to come up with something that sounds great but that also conveys the location. Perhaps wording that says something like:

Start writing your toast

Because Anne and Mike

Will wed at the coast

On July 18, 2007

Fisherman’s Pier

Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina

Of course, that’s a very casual wording for wedding invitations and you might be looking for something that is a little more formal or not so much of a rhyme. You can go for a custom wedding invitation that is considerably more formal like traditional wedding invitation cards are. Here is a more formal example:

Mr. and Mrs. John Jones request the honor of

Your presence at the marriage of their daughter

Tiffany Rose

To

Jeremy Scott Smith

The fifth day of January

Two thousand and seven

At Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Perhaps this isn’t your style either, and that is ok. Feel free to make up a beach themed invitation that is worded just the way you want. You may also search the Internet for other examples that you might use. Some people are exceptionally worried about etiquette and following it to a tee. If this sounds like you then use the web and wedding books to guide you when it comes to writing your own wedding invitations. If you don’t particularly care then write them whatever way makes you happy. Just keep in mind it is your wedding day and following at least a little bit of invitation etiquette is a good idea and something you won’t regret a few years down the road.

If you want something one of a kind that nobody else has ever had then consider hiring a poet to write your wedding invitations in a way that follows all the rules of etiquette but that also reflect your love for one another and your personalities. This could be a really fun way to have super special wedding invitations that nobody else has or will ever have. It might take a while to find somebody who could capture just what you want to say in a poetic way, but if this sounds like something you like then it really might be worth the effort. If you are working on a deadline though try and just find some wording you like and have the invitations printed as quickly as possible. You don’t want your guests to make other plans because you were worried about the invitation wording and didn’t get them out soon enough!

Your wedding invitation is your first chance to set the tone for your event. The style that you choose will give your guests a sneak peek into what your wedding will be like, especially if you have a special theme. One of the best ways to personalize your wedding invitations is with a signature motif.

There are many types of motifs (the possibilities are infinite, actually), and a variety of ways in which to use them to add character to your wedding stationery. First think about the basics of your wedding. Will it be formal? Then choose a very small motif. Have it either engraved in gold ink or blind embossed for even more subtlety. A formal wedding calls for a traditional and symmetrical invitation, as well, so you will want to place your motif on the top border of your invitation, right in the center.

Less formal weddings can accommodate more eclectic uses of motifs. You could even choose stationery which has your design printed on it, and the invitation wording printed on a vellum overlay. For example, if you were having a destination wedding, complete with a breezy wedding gown and beach wedding jewelry, a fantastic invitation would be an image of a sandy beach or a large tropical flower. If the invitation shows the beach scene, tie the vellum layer on with a piece of raffia, or use a pretty fuchsia ribbon over the tropical flower image. Your guests will really get the beach wedding feeling, and start packing their most festive attire and jewelry in eager anticipation.

A simple way to use a pretty design for a semi-formal wedding is to print, engrave, or letterpress it onto the paper in a color. You can really have a lot of fun picking your motif. Choose one that ties in directly with your wedding theme, or select a design that reflects something personal. A good example of this would be a monogram or a family crest (either real, or invented). Or if the bride and groom are both Texans, a small image of a pair of cowboy boots would be fun on the invitations. You can also design an entirely custom motif that will start on your wedding stationery and be carried throughout the rest of the wedding.

There are some classic motifs from which a bride can choose for her wedding invitations. A garden wedding, for instance, would be the perfect reason to adorn your stationery with your favorite flower, a watering can, or a ladybug. Other insect motifs that are great for weddings are a dragonfly or a bee (along the lines of the French royal style). Nautical motifs are wonderful for seaside wedding. Choose from an anchor, a lighthouse, a ship’s wheel, or shell. Preppy brides can even choose a whale or an alligator to dress up their invitations.

Seasonal motifs are always lovely. An intricate snowflake would be festive for a Winter Wonderland theme wedding. Autumn brides can embellish their invitations with a leaf design. A falling leaf print down one side of the stationery would be very nice. For a spring wedding, a cheerful watercolor print of a tiny bouquet of tulips would be the perfect touch for the top of the wedding invitations. And for summer weddings, there are all sorts of fun options, including Adirondack chairs, palm trees, and fruit.

Adorning your wedding invitations with a special motif or theme is a wonderful way to introduce your guests to the style of your wedding. It will also add personality to your stationery and help to set it apart from the basic invitations that many couples use. A custom motif is one of those small details that can add so much to a wedding.

The number of brides making their own invitations to their weddings is increasing. This is so they can customize and add a bit of their personal touch and style to their invitations. They also make it to match it more to their themes. These type of wedding invitations use the techniques which cannot be used for mass production like using a paper-layering skill which you used paper cut and order it by hand. The use of your computer and some scrap booking materials and techniques could help you in making your invitations. Always remember that your invitations in the mail provide for your guest the first impression they would have for your wedding. This is where they will get an idea what your big day will be as this should reflect the bride’s and the grooms personalities and individuality’s.

To make your own invitation you can go to buy your materials in an arts and crafts store. You can also browse in the Internet for some ideas to make your personalize wedding invitations. Some computer program exists also to help you with personalizing your invitation. They provide you with wedding invitation templates and font so you can start with your invitations. In buying the papers you would use, choose the ones, which compliments each other to make it more pleasing to the eye and the ones that would go together with your wedding theme. Be as creative as you can be. Have your themes that would best exemplify and express your personalities and what you have experience as a couple. In making your invitations, it would be like telling the whole world your love story. Remember that it is the first impression of your wedding day.

Invitations to your wedding need not be expensive. It would just take time and a bit of research and creativity on your part they your set to go to make and send out invitations to your perfect wedding day.

Your wedding invitations are the first thing your guest will see with regards to your special day. Choosing them will be a very important part of the marriage process. Choose with style and great care. Ask yourself?, what do you want your guests impression to be of your big day? What do you want to express to them with regards to it? Express yourself and your fiancee through your invitations.

First off you need to make your guest list. This will be to determine how many invitations should be ordered. You would be wise to order an additional 25 – 50 invitations over the amount of guests you have listed on your guest list. You should count every couple and single guest, parents, clergy and also their guests. All children over 16 should also receive an invitation. Give yourself plenty of time as well as the designer you have chosen. Your invitations should be ordered well in advance give or take four to six months. This will ensure less stress for you in the long run.

The invitation should be chosen carefully and thoughtfully, as it will give the perspective guests a brief preview of what to expect of the wedding. Selecting the right materials to use whether it’s the paper, style, wording or font all add to the important process of planning the perfect wedding.

Secondly your theme and colours of the wedding should be incorporated into the final design, whether you decide on a more traditional approach or a more unique and contemporary design it should compliment your own personal tastes. Many more brides today are choosing to go with the more unique invitations as a way of self expression. Once upon a time pure white and cream were traditionally used, now there is no limit on the colours and designs being included on wedding invitations. Flowers and bells are extremely common yet always the favorite for couples who wish for their wedding invitations to be as elaborate as possible. Now brides have a choice of more color styles, font styles and paper options. Choose with care. Is your wedding going to be timelessly traditional and formal, or contemporary and unique? Whatever your style make it your expression of your wedding day.

Thirdly. Choose your font style, text style and color. Old English and Roman Capitals are were once favored for effectiveness and clarity, now it is almost limitless as to your options. There are hundreds of font styles to choose from. Make sure it matches your invitation theme. For instance, you wouldn’t want an informal outdoors wedding invitation to depict French Script or say, Wedding Text script. Make sure the two work well together. Ink color should also match the basic design or the border color as well. Wedding invitations should generally consist of 10 – 14 lines. If they exceed this then the font chosen should be less elaborate but if there is not much wording then fill the invitation with a different font style. Make it a full bodied font. There are even more numerous types of embellishments one can add to their invitations as well. Many brides opt for ribbons, pictures of the bride and groom, crystals and many more. Express yourselves through your invitations.

Fourth, choosing your wedding invitation wording. Do you want to add both sets of parents to the wording? Would you like it to have a poem added before the invite wording? Something else to consider is this. If you have children are you planning on them being in the wedding? If so you might would like to add their names to the invitation as well. More wedding invitation experts should be able to provide you with this type of wording. I have seen more and more invites (as well as designed them myself) by incorporating the children’s name into them. Especially if you and your groom plan on having the children light the unity candles, do sand ceremonies and such.

Fifth, ask your wedding invitations vendor for references. Why you ask? No one is perfect!! This will provide you with a better peace of mind that you are choosing the right person for the job. Brides love to talk about their weddings, so ask them how the printer done. Did they provide your invitations timely as was stated to them? Were there any grammar errors? Were they pleasant to deal with? Did they provide them with several options to choose from? Does your invitations person provide you with a picture of your invitation to check for errors? Do they mail you one for this to be checked? Which would you prefer? If it is a reputable invitations expert they should be happy to provide you with references and any information you should request. They should also provide this to you in a timely manner.

Lastly, try to order your invitation sets well in advance. Most invitation designers would prefer about 4 – 6 months of time. If at all possible allow them this. Your invitations should be mailed out to your guests about 4 – 6 weeks prior to your wedding day. This allows time for your guests to make any arrangements needed to attend your wedding. If you are inviting guests from out of town or out of state, it might be a good idea to mail their invites out about 8 weeks in advance.

Enjoy your time choosing the perfect wedding invitations ensemble. Your invitations person should make this as stress free for you as possible. Remember to express yourself and your day through your invitations. And always remember that if you allow yourself plenty of time for choosing the perfect invite, that you have also managed to make this part of your wedding planning process less stressful and more enjoyable for yourself as well as your future husband.

Wishing each bride to be a wonderful and happy shopping experience.

There is no doubt that you want to make every item of your wedding prefect. You would like to have the perfect wedding dress, perfect venue and so on. However, one interesting phenomenon I observe is that the perfect standard will become lower when it comes to the wedding invitations.

It is true that the price of wedding invitation is just a fraction of other wedding items such as your wedding gown and wedding photography. As a result couples may put less emphasis on their wedding invitations. This is especially true when couples feel the wedding invitations are too expensive. They would rather go for cheaper options even if quality is sacrificed. However, virtually no couple will sacrifice the quality of other wedding items. In Hong Kong, a couple will spend about USD40 for one single wedding photo and they may “buy” fifty of these photos even if it is out of their budget. Such case seldom happens in the field of wedding invitation design.

Besides, some couples maintain that their guests will throw the wedding invitation cards into the rubbish bins anyway, it will be totally a waste to spend so much money on wedding invitations. In this case I believe using email as wedding invitation will be the best solution. However, couples, even if they think their guests will throw the invitation cards away sooner or later, are usually reluctant to adopt this idea of email wedding invitations.

In fact, I believe that these couples are facing a dilemma. On one hand they think that a physical wedding invitation card is virtually useless but on the other hand they may think that an email invitation is somehow impolite. We have to admit that wedding is something strongly connected with etiquette.

Apart from the above, couples may sometimes think that it is not worth spending so much money on the wedding invitations since they can also do the “designs” on their PCs. As a wedding invitation designer, what I observe is that more couples are bringing their computer files to me and asking for quotations in these two years.

It is really good that the couples are trying to involve in the design process. However, one misunderstanding shared by many of these couples is that they think a wedding invitation is just about creating a computer file and have it printed.

Actually, I hold quite a different point of view towards this notion of wedding invitation design. A wedding invitation can be more than a printed material. Although I am a wedding invitation designer myself, I am also an advocate of DIY invitations.

Here DIY refers to the notion of handmade invitations. You may write the contents of the invitation one by one. You may also need to collect different raw materials and put them together to make your invitation. You may even need to learn the Japanese Origami in order to make your own envelope.

If you are ready to spend time to make your own wedding invitation, I will suggest you save a buck and start to design and make your own invitation. You should never sacrifice the quality of any of your wedding items.

You should never overlook the design of your wedding invitation because it tells the guests about your wedding. It does not only inform your guest the date and location of your wedding but also the theme and style of your wedding. You have tremendous choices of wedding invitation nowadays. Without any surprise, you will try to make your wedding invitation as unique and personalized as possible.

Undoubtedly, you have to set your theme and style of your wedding at the very beginning. With the theme and style, you can make all the decisions regarding your big day follow the main theme. The design of your wedding invitation should also follow this theme. If you are going to hold an outdoor garden theme wedding, you should design your invitation card such that it can tell the guest about this wedding theme.

You would also like to have your wedding invitation reflecting you and your partner. It will probably match you personality too. If you are a person who care about etiquette and think it is the most important thing in your wedding, you will certainly order formal and classic invitation cards. Your wedding invitation may also reflect your career. The design can be full of different architectural drawings if your career is related to building design or building construction.

As discussed, you will have a huge range of choices for your wedding invitation. Most couples will firstly make decision on the color and style of their cards. This is a natural way of choosing the invitation since it has to match your wedding theme in the first place. When you are choosing the color theme and style of your wedding invitation, you should consider the following issues:

Your wedding theme

This is of course the most important since your main purpose is to make your wedding invitation to reflect your wedding.

Religious Belief

If you have any religious background, you may want to incorporate it into the design of wedding invitation so that it can say something about your.

Background of you and your partner

This can be any background. For example you may want to tell the others how you met and put your love story into the invitation. On the other hand you can also connect your wedding invitation with your career.

After you have settled the color and style of the wedding invitation, you will start thinking about the contents and wordings. If you are choosing a formal invitation, you may probably choose some standard wordings. On the contrary, you may want to write your own invitation wordings if you are not selecting a formal design. In this case you should bear in mind that you need to put all the necessary information into the card. This will include the date of your big day, the time of the wedding ceremony, the location of both the ceremony and reception etc.

It is not that difficult to make a unique wedding invitation. The key is your imagination. Besides, if you can really stick to your wedding theme, it can be sure that your wedding invitation should be a unique and elegant one.

If you are planning your wedding, you want everything about your wedding to reflect your personality and your sense of style. From your wedding dress to your wedding invitations, you want everything about your wedding to be perfect. Today, there are many different styles, colors and textures available for wedding invitations and finding your exact style may take some time. Following are several considerations that can help you find the invitations for your wedding that will reflect the beautiful and stylish person you are.

1. What is the Setting?
2. When you are choosing wedding invitations, it may help you to consider the setting of your wedding. Whether you are having a formal wedding or a more casual wedding, there are invitations that reflect that setting. If you are having a formal, black-tie wedding, you may want to consider invitations that are formal as well. If you are having a more casual outdoor wedding, an invitation that is casual may be just your style. What are your Colors?
3. Another consideration that can help you find the wedding invitations that are perfect for you are the colors of your wedding. Invitations are available in almost every color you can think of, so matching your invitations to your wedding colors is possible and a great idea. You can also match colors to the theme of your wedding, choosing bright, sunny colors for a summer outdoor wedding or Christmas colors for a Christmas wedding. What is Your Theme?
4. You may also want to consider the theme of your wedding when you are picking out your wedding invitations. If you are having a beach themed wedding, you can often find invitations that have pictures of the beach or follow that theme. If you are having a garden theme, you may want to have invitations that have flowers on them to go with the garden theme. Whatever theme you are having at your wedding, you can probably find invitations that complement that specific theme. Do You Want Photos?
5. One option you have that will make your wedding invitations unique is having a photo of you and your groom-to-be on the front or inside your invitations. You can choose a simple invitation and have your photo added to make an invitation that your friends and family will treasure. What is Your Budget?
When choosing your wedding invitations, you also should consider the budget you have. If you are spending more money on your dress, you may have to cut back on the money spent for invitations. Even if you are cutting back on the budget for invitations, there are many great choices that are budget friendly.

Your invitations are one way that you will let your friends and family know about your big day, so you want them to be perfect and a reflection of you and your love. Keeping these considerations in mind can help you find wedding invitations that will be beautiful, unique and a wonderful way to invite your cherished loved ones to share in your special day.
